1. Let's Get Look Book

Whoever will be getting your jewelry piece, do they already wear jewelry? More often than not, they do! If that's the case, we want to start by getting an idea of what they already have. Especially when it comes to pieces that they wear on a daily basis, we want the new piece to fit in perfectly with everything else. Otherwise, if you give them a ring or pendant or bracelet or bangle that doesn't match what they already like to wear... it'll end up sitting in a jewelry box most of the time - and that's the last thing you want.

Take pictures or gather photos from social media of your recipient with their current pieces. we'll use those as a starting point when you come to our appointment to discover what styles would compliment those pieces the best. Normally we're looking for basics stylistic choices like metal color, thick or thin, modern - classic - or antique, and other factors that help us narrow down the design choices for your custom piece.

2. Get a Second Opinion

Which of her/ his friend's or family would know what style they would like? Especially if you're a guy who has never purchased any fine jewelry before and you're looking for an engagement ring it can be very intimidating to make a decision based on your limited amount of jewelry design knowledge.

That's why getting an opinion from your recipient's friend or family member could be a huge help. They might have a style or piece that they've mentioned before to their best friend or close family member. Obviously, make sure it's someone who can keep a secret well.

3. Get an Expert's Opinion
